Lothar was buried in the Garrison cemetery at Schweidnitz along with his father who died around the same time. After WWII the markers were removed and the cemetery was plowed under by the Russians, a not uncommon practice when it came to German military cemeteries in the former Eastern Bloc.
There is a stone with Lothar's name and information in the family plot in Sudfriedhof Wiesbaden.
