Well, I thought my Fokker files were up-to-date.
The first machine with that petrol tank in the undercarriage is told to be the V.36 - a D.VII variant with oval radiator and BMW IIIa for the 3. fighter contest in Oktober 1918. This is documented since it also was examined by IdFlieg.
But if sequence was correct and the V.35 (if it was built) was just the predecessor it could be that candidate as well. Here I can understand Weyl to put that somewhere in the late V.30-numbers.
Just there was this two-seater from early 1919 - the V.41.
And Weyl too captioned the picture "post war".
I don't know of a proven picture. A simple after war modification from different machines is unlikely having that construction picture, which likely could be a factory photograph.
I would include this one in the V.41 discussion.
Thanks Paul, for that point.
If there is something new (for me) to discover that would be great.
If I am just mistaken that is fine also. At least I found a new picture...
Cheers
