You are correct Old Man it is indeed a Roger Corman film
I was so very dissapointed with it. Time framed mixed up, wrong planes etc etc!
Brown came over as a most unsympathic character & yes the ending was totally incorrect. That Utube appears to have come from Richtofen & Brown & NOT the new Red Baron German movie.
For our original poster Albatross 1234, yes! the theory explaned in the book The Red Barons Last Flight (think thats the correct title--my copy is lent out at the moment)
is that an Australian Machine gunner did fire the fatel bullet & the author uses medical practice to show the upward path of the bullet (only one!) that caused the fatal wound. Try to get the book if you can.
A better rendering of the Red Barons Story is the recent German Movie titled "the Red Baron" starring Matthias Schweighofer & Joseph Fiennes.
Whilst still embroidering more to the Brown/ Richtofen link than was true it is a much better & enjoyable movie in my opinion. Definately worth watching. Should be available in most countries by now. It was released on DVD in Australia last month. Do not confuse it with Cormans Film which is now years old.
