I want to make up a tach cable for my Gnome, using a commonly available housing and cable, but need the nuts (will have to make the end fittings also, but that shouldn't be too hard). At the engine I think it's 21mm X 1.5mm (measures .805", a little under), and at the Jaeger tach it's 17mm X 1.5mm (again measures undersize a little, .645"). Somebody said that Japanese motorcycles use metric tach cables, anybody verify, or have other ideas?
