Nieuport 17/23 polar diagram developed on the basis of work published by Pyshnov (Пышнов, В. С., "Из истории летательных аппаратов", "Машиностроение", Москва, 1968 г.) and compared with Siemens-Schuckert Werke D.I data from Translated Abstracts of Technische Berichte, 1917, Volume 1 (see Bletchley, Digitized Documents thread).

Results shown above match quite well some of the published data for Nieuport 23 equipped with 120 ch Le Rhove 9 Jb. This is work in progress pending availability of further data (engine characteristics in particular).
