Hello!
Additionally I remember that there was a German anti-tank weapon existing during the last days of WW2 called "Förstersonde". I don´t know how it looked like. I think that in both cases it might be the name of the inventor or the "outward appearance" of the mine itself and its size that was the reason for a nickname (maybe it looked like a priests hat?). Soldiers normally find very "logic" names for weapons within a short time instead of using the official names.
:-/
Any further ideas?
