I was searching for some good pictures of the Halberstadt scouts but now I'm even more puzzled then before
What puzzles me most are the struts over the cockpit, sometimes they are fixed outside the cowling, sometimes the end is hidden under the cowling.
I thought the "hidden" struts were used for the d3 but I saw several pictures which labelled the planes as D2.
The next problem are the exhaust pipes... did all D2 have the exhaustpipe on the right side of the fuselage, was the pipe to the upper wing used only for the D3?
What is this thin pipe at the heat exchanger (last pic) I think it has nothing to do with the water circulation
Are there any other significant differences between the D2 and the D3?
