Regarding the possible Voisin shot down....it could perhaps be the famous Voisin Nr 991 with a 3,8 cm gun canon shot down on 10 Jan 1916 at Woumen.
There exists some photos of this aircraft and some with vfw Frankl beside it...
All sources I have seen gives credit to Frankl(normally victor Nr 2)for this aircraft...but the Voisin was officially credited to a Flak unit...
The French crew of this aircraft is reported to be Sgt Parent POW and Priv. Nonneic POW from Esc VB xx
The French Bombardment Group mentioned in my earlier mail should be 1.
Hempels first name was apparently Claus...
