Rubin Wecsler got the German civil flight licence # 146 (12.November 1911). My source for the DLV-licences calls Wecsler a Romanian, born in Jassy.
On 17.July 1915 died a man with the same name (Rubin Wecsler, rank Offizier-Stellvertreter) in or near Valenciennes (Western front). Is there anybody out there able to tell me more about Wecsler´s biography incl. descent, unit, circumstances of his death? I know once more a very specific question with low chances to get any input. Rubin Wecsler was a member of AFP 6b. His grave is in Frasnoy. I do not know the circumstances of his death.

Guten Tag,
Peter Supf mentioned Rubin Wecsler "bei einem Probeflug am 17.07.15 in Valenciennes tödlich abgestürzt" in his book "Lexikon der Luftfahrt Bd. 2". He also describe an accident caused by Wecsler in Johannisthal 14.05.1912. Hauptmann Jucker, Chefpilot of LVG and a pupil lost lives, after their Aircraft rammed Weclers Harlan. |
Danke Markus,
ich sehe, daß die Idflieg den vollen Überblick hat. ;) Hannes |
