Alexander Montanus Zenzes
 

Some people here know that I'm quite fascinated with this 19 victory naval German ace.

A few years ago I discovered a photo album from the Uitkerke aerodrome at the Belgian coast. One of the men identified in this album was Zenzes. So before he joined the Marine Feldjasta at Jabbeke, he must have served with or the III or IV Küstenflieger Abteilung or the I or II Marine Schusta/Schlasta.

Any information on this matter is of course welcome.

In his log for MFJ II, Rick Duiven shows Zenses as having joined from 'MLFA' on 13 February 1918.

I think 13 February 1918 was to early, and MLFA is possible, but very doubtful. Zenzes can be seen several times in the album, and I think he may have joined as late as April or May with the MFJ.
