Nieuport 28 Build
 

I have just returned from Afghanistan and I am much looking forward to resume building my Aerodrome Aircraft Nieuport 28. I will leverage the experience of this forum to garner assistance for the final portion of my project.
I was assigned to the 95th Reconnaissance Squadron while I was stationed at RAF Mildenhall in the late 90s. That unit has linage to the 95th Aero Squadron back to WWI. The 95th Aero Squadron was equipped with the N-28 shortly after its arrival in France. This connection is what led to my desire to build the N-28. I plan on finishing the aircraft using the B Flight cowling design and the number 14 to honor Quentin Roosevelt's service with the 95th Aero Squadron.

Any thoughts on where you plan to base the aircraft?

Butch, I have secured the EAA project hangar at the Manassas Airport. I was previously building it at the same hangar before my deployment. I will be moving it back to Manassas later this weekend. Best Regards,

Welcome to the forum!

For photos, I'd suggest placing them on a photo hosting site like photobucket.com.. or any site that offers IMG code. Once you hang them on the host site, you can then paste the IMG code into the text of your post.

This will allow you to post large, detailed photos. If you continue with the simple attach function, you'll quickly run into space problems with the forum.

Worked all day pulling down the N-28 from my parent's garage in Pasadena, MD. Great help from my father who graciously permitted me to store the project for the past year in his garage. I brought up the EAA project hangar yesterday and we constructed "sides" on the trailer to stow the wings as you would stow ladders on a work truck. "Cross country" drive to Manassas tomorrow; I-95 and I-66 here we come.
