ssw diii seatbelts?
i have the roden 1/32 kit and eduards 1/32 painted seatbelts which belts go with the ssw diii ? i have the datafile but dont see any good photos of the seatbelts. anyone know if they are lap and shoulder belts like a fokker type or if they are the thick lapbelt typ like the wnw lvg type?

Hello ! The SSW D.III had the shoulder belt type , like the Fokkers had . On page 30 in the datafile bottom picture you can see the belts tossed over the fuselage . Lap belts which were used on the LVG and such didn't have this type . Only fighters with a few exceptions if I remember right .

That's right, terri..... in the fighters were always shoulder belts used ....... at least from 1916th
In the two-seater could probably be omitted on it, because that comb probably less common that the "flying overhead" However, it is possible that Siemens manufactured the belts of a different fabric material as a Fokker. Perhaps the Eduard belts are too bright for Fokker-fighters. On images (in Windsock Data Files etc.) the Fokkerbelts often look very dark. (Perhaps black ore dark brown colored fabric?) thanks guys after i posted i looked again at my windsock and noticed the belts pulled over the rear of the combing this is what i figured i think mostly 2 seaters had the thick lap belts and early monoplanes like eindecker. when i flipped thru the datafile i didnt see them at first because i was looking for pic of the seat and such. unfortonately i only have one set of shouder belts and 2 kits that need them, i also have the avis ev i guess i will scratch them, maybe try some fine cloth like bobs buckles did.
