Don't get excited....no progress photos...yet.....

I finally took the plunge and picked up the Hasegawa 1/8 tripe. Wow...all I can say is wow....

I have noticed a few of the "issues" folks have complained about. I think the only one that really bothers me is the wooden trailing edges instead of wire. But, I've already worked out the problem in my head on how to remedy that.

I was going to start on the CSM Lohner, but I may dig into this instead. I don't know how anyone can open the box and resist all that wood, aluminum, white metal, brass, and plastic.

I also picked up their 1/16 Wright Flyer while I was on my little buying spree...

Same reaction, although it's not quite as much kit as the tripe.

BTW, I picked up both from Scale Hobbyist. Both were lower than prices I've seen on ebay and much lower than other places I've seen. Also, great customer service.

I can't wait to see your build , mine 1/8th hasegawa tripe is gathering dust ( the box that is ) and will take a while before I get started , would like to finish the HBDI project first.Hope to see your first tripe pics soon..!!
