Searching something for the "Big Picture"

I'm searching for recommendations on books that focus on the big picture of the air war, nothing that shows only a small piece like pilot memoirs or similar things at least not for now.
What I'm looking for is something that gives me knowledge about the whole air war for every side & every front.
And I would like to start with German books before switching to Englisch.

Till now I only found this:
"Germany's War in the Air" by Ernst von Hoeppner in German

A lot more expensive and a lot more comprehensive than Hoeppner´s book are

G. P. Neumann (Herausgeber): Die deutschen Luftstreitkräfte im Weltkriege (published 1920) and

Walter v. Eberhardt (Hrsg.): Unsere Luftstreitkräfte 1914-1918 (published 1930)

Very helpful is John H. Morrow, Jr.: The Great War in the Air, Military Aviation from 1909 to 1921, published 1993. Gives a very good overview about the main powers Germany, Great Britain and France but reports also about the "lesser powers". As well the work is not limited to simplistic battle field review. It dicusses also the industrial, logistical and development problems.

I'm partial to
"The Great War In The Air"
Aaron Norman
1968

Aaron Norman

This is a well written account and with 558 pages it covers quite a few areas of GW aviation.
