Squadron Signal Mail Order
Sorry if this is misplaced here, but I have a question. I ordered a nice Eduard Fokker D-VI kit from this company and it has been over a month with nothing showing up. I checked my bank online and sure enough the check has been cashed/cleared, but when I called and asked about the order, I was told it takes at least 6 weeks to get my order. Is this normal? I don't think I will order from them again! it has now been 6 and a half weeks and still my joy!

If you mean the Fokker D.VII these are hot items and sell pretty quickly. The six weeks comment is a standard response. Eduard has been altering their sales method and are only doing minimal runs to increase eveyone's passion for their kits. This way they don't have to pay for as much warehousing and still get top dollar or euro as the case maybe. In the future you may want to try other mail order places. Roll Models, Rosemont Hobbies are just a couple.

Ah, thanks for the swift reply! I feel a little more comfort! I will give 'em a couple more weeks and calll again!
BTW, I was referring to the Fokker D-VI (6...) looks like a biplane version for the Fokker triplane.... cheers, GY |

I order from Squadron Mail Order quite frequently, and I receive my package within five to eight days. The only time I had ever had an order go astray was when I sent-off for the Roden 1/32 Fok. D.VI along with other goodies, which squadron promptly replaced (that ninety five cents worth of insurance is a good precaution) but if an item is out of stock, S/M/O will hold the balance/credit toward your next order; you have to call and tell them that you want a refund check. Mighty fine people there at Carrollton, Texas...however, my squadron supplement is late this month! Danny |
