JASta INSIGNIA of A ROOSTER

Reportably in OCTOBER 1918 in Meuse-Argonne a D VII JAsta leader had the
following insigna:
A RED ROOSTER
What JASTA HAd this INsignia?

PFF- Jasta 18 used a red raven (for Ltn Raben) flying, but not a rooster. In flight, bird type would have been easily confused.

Thanks--interesting note

Taz,

Raben used a white raven on the extended red painted portion of the fuselage. The rest of the unit used black ravens on white portion of fuselage.

An ex-Jasta Raben machine after transfer to Jasta 43, I believe, used a red raven... and stripes, etc.
