Model fabric finishing
Hi everyone,
I'm new to WWI model build and I was wondering what is the fabric finishing for 1/72 models, is it flat dead finish or satin finish?? Any hint will be appreciated. Regards |
Satin would be the best in this scale.

Flanker;
Permit me this comment. In 1/72 scale anything even remotely glossy makes the viewer spend less time looking at your build. I pushes the viewer on to easier viewing. Dead flat or flat with minimal sheen on the fabric is best. It helps the viewer see all of your work. Just my opinion. |
Sheen, not Martin
A newly doped and painted bird is fairly glossy. But that finish is almost immediately compromised in the field with dust, fading, chalking and sticky engine byproduct.
I tend to make my models as dead flat as possible. Anything glossy looks toylike. |
