Yes. A good book. Although I wasn't particularly impressed with Stephen Quick's art. Not to be overly critical, however most of the colour illustrations I found to be "comic book" in style. Not 'Enemy Ace' as such, but flat, lacking depth.
I would have liked to have seen less 'plain Jane' and more 'plein aire'.

I had the same reaction to the illustrations - they're pleasing and attractive, but not what I expected in that book. On the other hand, they're somewhat remniscent of the watercolors that Joseph Phelan painted to illustrate his "Heroes & Aeroplanes of the Great War." I remember how impressed I was with them when I bought that book in the '60s. I think they still hold up well today.

Absolutely top notch book. A must have for any who are interested in WWI aerial combat.
