I have an Albatros dva replica that was just completed a year ago. I was wondering if any one in *my area would be interested in getting together for a small fly in. I think it would be great to do some mock dogfights with other ww1 aircraft, after you best a cessna 152 about 50 times it gets kinda old :)In fact my friend still bitches about it not being fair. ;) haha any way I live in Centervile Ohio,any one close to this area please respond,or anyone else who just wants to talk shop feel free :)

No my name is Scott, and my grandfather is the one who built it.His name was Fred E Kirk if this rings a bell.Anyway the engine was custom built, from exact specs of the inline engine only problem is the horespower is 10 more than origanal 180,and my grandfather spent a whole year working on this engine to complete it as accuratly as possible.The paint scheme is colored to no one in paticular,but the spinner is black,and the fuselage is the plywood no coloring,tail is black,as well as the rudder.Wings are white on the top,and black underneath.With 2 fully functional German mg 15 machine guns encased in exact spandau casings, so I can do live blank firing to add to the effect.

What exactly did your grandfather build for an engine? Any details there? Reason I ask is that I am building my own full-scale Fok. D.VII, and wish to use as true-to-scale powerplant as possible, so I can swing an original size prop. Any ideas? Thanks!
