I see from the "Today in History" section here at the
Aerodrome that (3) Jasta 30 aces (Bethge, Buddecke
and Marwitz) all scored victories today.

This is also not to say that maybe other J30 members
scored a victory or two. I am very interested to know
if any of the experts here can tell me anything about
the fighting of J30 on this date.

Where was their drome? (near Lillie?)
Who were their opponents?
Was this one large J30 flight with other jastas, or
smaller flights with each J30 ace involved?
What were the J30 casualties?

Anything at all--
Thank you,
J30

These were the only victories scored by Jasta 30 this date, all coming between 14.00 and 14.05 hours and all against 80 Sqn. RFC. R.

Thanks Rick--
If you do not have to dig too deep, could you possibly--

know by chance what type aircraft both sides
were flying? what kind of squadron was RFC 80?
recon or pursuit or?

Jasta 30 was using Albatros D.V and Pfalz D.IIIa. 80 Sqn. RFC was flying Sopwith Camels. R.

Thanks again Rick--

I guess it is the man and his experience
over the machine--most of the times.
